Marwell introduced its first product, the Angle Meter Socket Adapter, in 1979. Thanks to the initial product acceptance, Marwell has enjoyed steady growth since that tentative start. Within a decade Marwell has grown from a single product manufacturer into a major supplier of KwH meter adapters throughout the United States and Canada. The advancement of Automatic Meter Reading and the need to package electronic assemblies in close proximity to the meter is currently moving Marwell firmly into the International Marketing arena.
Marwell has long enjoyed the privilege of working in a complex of buildings nestled in the shadow of the San Bernardino Mountains. Separate buildings have been added over the years to expand the work space. For the first time in almost 20 years, Larry Blackwell will soon be able to visit all the production departments without going outdoors. Will less sunshine create a better adapter? Probably not, but it should reduce the lead time.
