Residential In-Series Adapters
In-series adapters place two meters in-series and mount them in a singe meter socket. Available in CT rated and residential self-contained versions. Self-contained versions should always be applied with caution as the rating of the adapter is often less than the rating of the socket. The concern has always been, "how much less"?

320A Rated K4 Adapter
The Landis & Gyr (Siemens) K4 meter socket with a Siemens K-Base meter installed will handle high current applications without mising a beat. Sometimes however, the customer loads do not justify the expense of the K-Base meter. This simple Marwell adapter will allow the installation of a Class 320 or 200 meter into a K4 socket.
Telephone line Surge Protection in a RJ-11 Adapter
Marwell Corporation has enhanced the popular RJ11 adapter with the addition of a EDCO Telephone Line Surge Suppressor, Model FAS-TEL-200T. A ground wire is attached for connection to the system ground.
Auto ByPass Conversion
Do you have customers that refuse to accept power outages. Even short outages to replace a meter or install a power quality recording device such as the PMI-iVS? You might be interested in the Marwell Auto ByPass adapter. It is not a new product, we have been producing it for several years for single phase application. The seven jaw version is a simple variation. Non-metalic plungers are depressed against springs as you insert the meter, opening the bypass. The precise length of the plungers assures that the meter stabs are firmly engaged before the shorting contacts open. It is an example of simplicity.
“STORAGE” adapter for PSD Disconnects
The Marwell Portable Safety Disconnect is a safe and convenient method of disconnecting a clamp jaw bypass customer under load. After the service has been disconnected an extension adapter must remain clamped in the meter socket jaws. Sometimes the meter will be removed from the site, but more commonly it will be booted and inserted back into the adapter for storage.
Timer Adapters
Many utilities still have a water heater rate that is timer based and controlled by meters with built-in time clocks. These old time clock meters are diffi-cult to repair or replace. The April 2001 copy of Marwell News offered one possible solution - relay adapters to be controlled by programmable meters. Another possible solution is a timer adapter. The timer adapters can be programmed in your shop and delivered to the site ready for a "plug and run" installation. They can be fitted under any meter, including AMR equipped meters. Seven day sched-uling is standard and automatic daylight savings time compensation is available. A simple solution for an old problem.
Self Shorting A-Base Adapter
Automatic shorting switches make these A-Base to socket adapters unique. Now you can safely install CT rated socket meters on single phase A-Base installations that do not have test switches or other provisions for shorting the CT.s.
